New Year, New Camera!

Big news!!! I have a new camera!!

I recently traded up from my lovely, precious Nikon D90, to the Nikon D800. Since I knew my old camera like the back of my hand, the D800 has a bit of getting used to. It is always hard having to search for a dial or button that I use so frequently. I LOVED my Nikon D90. I suggest that if anyone who is seriously interested in getting into photography, the D90 is the way to go. It has the perfect “starter” price for professional photographers. I even found my Nikon D90 on craigslist for a cheaper price! All the photos I have had on my blog up to today have been taken with my D90. My only complaint I would have is that it is kind of useless in low light situations.

With my D800 I feel like a big girl now, ready to take on the world! I needed to test out the new camera, so I took the two girls that I babysit for, Isabel and Elena, outside in their backyard for a quick mini photo session. (They are so photogenic, aren’t they?) Along with the new camera, I also needed to update my Lightroom software. It looks like 2013 has a lot of changes in store for me!
