This past May, my mom decided to come down to New Orleans to meet me for a wedding I was photographing. While I was at our hotel waiting for her arrival, my sister kept texting me. “Is Mom there yet!? Call me as soon as she arrives.” It was a little strange that she was this eager to talk to us both, but at the time I didn’t really think anything of it. Finally after a few hours and a million texts, my mom arrived and Katie called us. “Are you both together? I have something to tell you!” She told us that her boyfriend, Jordan, had asked her to marry him! My sister was getting married!! My mom and I squealed with delight and we went out that night to celebrate in Katie and Jordan’s honor!
We already had a family vacation planned for this summer. My whole family (including Jordan) were going to start in San Diego and drive up the coast to San Francisco and visit for a week. While in San Diego, it was only natural that I took Katie and my future brother-in-law to the beaches for a photoshoot! I’m so honored to photograph them and can not WAIT for their wedding next year!!! I finally get a brother!
