Justine and Adrien reached out to me over a year before their wedding, so when they time finally came around for them to say their I do’s, I was QUITE excited! They kept telling me, “It’s going to be a pretty awesome party”….and it was! Their wedding proved that you can still look gorgeous while getting down on the dance floor and having fun! The whole wedding was put together with the help of Molly from Tres Chic Affairs and beautiful floral decor by Organic Flora as well as calligraphy by Betlem Calligraphy. And all of the girls looked lovely with hair and makeup by Beauty by Stacey.
Here is Justine in her own words on how #teampasquino came about and fell in love!: “Adrien and I met our freshman year of college through Air Force ROTC in 2008. Although I went to UC San Diego, and Adrien was at San Diego State University, we saw each other almost twice a week because of our military classes together. One day during Racquetball Physical Training, we decided to be partners. When our Colonel asked what our team name was, we quickly came up with “Team Pasquino” on the spot. Our Colonel responded with, “That’s a weak name,” and then kicked our butts in Racquetball. Thus, Team Pasquino was born.” Down the road, Adrien eventually asked Justine to be his girlfriend, on April 29th 2012 (exactly 4 years to the day before they would wed!
Here is how Adrien proposed!: “Adrien and I always go back to California for the holidays since both of our families live there. I flew in on Christmas Eve and Adrien made plans for both of our families to have dinner that night in Downtown San Diego, since his parents were leaving for the Philippines the next day. Our reservations weren’t until 6 PM, but at around 4 o’clock Adrien told me we needed to leave for downtown already. I was so confused! We’re Filipino and are always late! His excuse was that we needed to beat the holiday traffic and get down there to hold our reservation since both of our families were running behind. His parents were still packing for the Philippines, and my parents were still an hour away (or so I thought). I finally agreed to go and we drove downtown. When we parked, we were near a beautiful bay overlooking the Coronado bridge. I asked him where the restaurant was, and he just pointed in a random direction and said “over there.” For some reason, I didn’t think anything of it. We walked to a grassy area and watched the sun set into the water. It was beautiful and I was so happy to finally be with Adrien after a month of not seeing each other. At this point he started looking around frantically (I later found out he was trying to see if our friend Ron was going to come out of hiding and take pictures). I started to ask why he was acting so weird, but before he could answer, he spun me around (to buy time and signal Ron), quickly said, “I really love you,” and then got down on one knee to pop the question. Haha, I think he got really nervous and completely forgot his original speech! I was so shocked and of course said yes! It was then that all of our friends and family came out of hiding to surprise me!”
