Surprise! They eloped! And they did it in style. Cortney and David flew in from Florida to exchange vows in one of the country’s most beautiful national parks; Yosemite! It was a Monday, and also the first day of spring. The parks crowds were tame, and the weather was on our side. Although it called for scattered thunderstorms all day, we had some fairly warm spring weather! The morning started like any other. In fact, they both remarked how nonchalant the day seemed up to that point. They both got ready together at their airbnb. When getting eloped, there are no bridesmaids or family members coming in your room starting the tears early! After getting dressed, they still opted for a first look, and THAT is when it all got real.
We then drove into the park, and they got their first views of the tall, vertical, granite cliffs dripping with waterfalls that this park is famous for. We pulled over at El Capitan Meadow and met our officiant for the day. This was it! We looked around for *the spot*, and started their wedding ceremony. It was perfect. They each wrote their own heartfelt vows to one another, and a few tears fell. When they were announced as Mr. and Mrs., they got to share their first kiss as husband and wife! So good!
We then spent a few more hours exploring the beauty of Yosemite. It was perfect. I’m so honored to have been there for it all! Congrats to Cortney and David!
Delwood - WoW!!! Such amazing pics! Thank you so much for documenting this day in such a beautiful way. These are pics that we will always cherish of our Son and new Daughter. It looks like a true storybook wedding! God Bless…
