What a fun weekend these two planned for their big day! Kristin and Eliot came all the way from Chicago to tie the knot in the cool and funky city of New Orleans. If you are going to get married in Nola, there is truly only one place to do so- Race and Religious! After a weekend full of activities and pool parties, the two started their wedding day with massage tables for their wedding party and setting up their venue. Everyone pitched in with the efforts and had the ceremony set up for a rainy forecast. The weather was calling for 100% chance of severe thunderstorms, yet no rain had made an appearance yet. Crossing our fingers everyone started to get ready for the evening. Kristin and Eliot both told their bridal party members to “wear what they want”, but the girls definitely all went colorful and funky! Kristin herself opted for a pink and blue floral wedding gown, and probably the coolest wedding day shoes ever! Well, coming in second place behind Eliot’s velvet slippers that is.
Kristin’s brother, Jason, officiated the ceremony, after leaking out a few tears at the begining. Some beautiful speeches were given, and one of the best was from Eliot’s best childhood friend. Once the pair said I do, we all danced around the block to the sweet beats of the jazz bands second line! Then the party was officially started with Lani Love DJ-ing the rest of the night! Before I left, the crowd started demanding that Kristin and Eliot jump in the pool with them, which they did, fully clothed. And the best part!? NO RAIN! Congrats to you both!
