This wedding day was filled with sunshine, some rain showers, lots of laughter, a few happy tears, slow dancing, party dancing, yummy dinner meals, and sweet sinful treats. It had it all! Rachel and Cody got married at one of my favorite venues in San Diego, the Darlington House. They rented a beautiful house on the beach just down the road from the venue, and we did some walking around the neighborhood for their portraits. It was a perfect day in February, even with the rain showers that morning. These two are so loved, that the entire venue was packed the the brim with their guests. And Rachel’s white wedding boots were the perfect funky accessory for the day! I also love how these two got engaged, it’s such a typical story of oblivious girl being asked by her man to marry her in a obviously beautiful and perfect setting!! In Rachel’s words;
“We were in Hohensalzburg Fortress in Salzburg Austria. We sat down to have a few beers at a cafe overlooking the country side I tried to convince Cody to elope with me and he kept telling me “NOOO not right now Rachel.” He asked me without pulling the ring out what I would say if he were to ask me to merry him. I said, “NOOO not right now.” After a few more times asking me the same question he pull the ring out of his pocked and says “WHAT ABOUT NOW.” I could not believe it. I walked around in blissful shock the rest of the day.”
I had so much fun with you two! Congrats again!!
