Hailey and Nathan are getting married! These two were so much fun to work with. They wanted a “woodsy, cozy feel” for their engagement photos, and I knew exactly where to take them! We strolled around the mountains around Lake Arrowhead for the afternoon, and the couple ended up staying in town for a nice little getaway afterwards <3 So excited to shoot their wedding next year!!!
Oh these two. When a couple truly puts a lot of thought into the personal details of their big day, it makes it that much more special. Before they knew anything, they knew their wedding date would be on a full moon. They found a Saturday in the summer that was perfect, with a big full moon that popped up low in the sky at the end of their wedding night. Full moons are special to Amanda and Taylor. They make time every month of the full moon for a special date together. (So why WOULDN’T they get married on a full moon too!?). Next, the green bus. They wanted a shuttle for their friends to get to the wedding venue, but it *had* to be green! Taylor proposed to Amanda with a green vehicle! It was in the South of France. They rented a lime green dune-buggy through crazy, windy roads around the French Alps… and arrived at a tiny church on a hill. Amanda was trying to frame a great insta-pic, when Taylor dropped to one knee out of no where! After the question was popped, and the “Yes” was said, they drove to a more private spot for a picnic out of a wicker basket and promptly downed warm champagne. “It was awesome” they said! Finally, the venue. After going back and forth on a few different ideas, they both knew that they wanted their big day to be focused on the celebration with friends and family. Amanda’s cousin’s property was the perfect spot. It was remote, personal, in the woods, and just outside of Portland where they live. The whole day was a lot of fun and so is this duo! It’ll be exciting to see where life leads them next! Congrats you two!

These two have the biggest hearts. The fact that they are now joining as ONE massive heart, is truly a warming feeling. They treat not only each other, but everyone with love and kindness. Colette and Brian met at med school and really started to vibe their last year of studying. It was inevitable that they would spend the rest of their lives together, and their proposal story is so cute and personal:
“I had made it clear early on that I really wanted the occasion to be shared only between the two of us (ie. not in public!). And Brian obliged by proposing during our Christmas eve gift exchange at home after our 3 year anniversary dinner in Malibu. I was expecting the proposal and of course spent the entire dinner waiting in nervous anticipation of a conspicuous engagement not knowing that Brian was intentionally psyching me out! It ended up being perfect, just what I had wanted. ”
They had their wedding at the La Jolla Shores Hotel on a perfect summer day. Their friends and family gave some amazing speeches that had the whole crowd laughing, and they danced the night away after. Congrats again you two!!
