Wahoo! What a fun wedding these two put together! Every detail was specifically planned, including their vintage microphone for their ceremony! Weddings like Sarah and Tony’s is always refreshing. I love *true love*, and these two have it. One of my favorite parts of the day was a surprise that Tony put together behind Sarah’s back. Over the years of them dating, he had been videoing her with his vintage camera. He then put together a mini movie for all the guests to watch, “to show what it is like to be in love with Sarah”. Sarah also had a great surprise for her future hubby though. After Tony had proposed to her, she started writing journal entries, written to Tony, to then be gifted to him on the morning of their big day. In the journal entries were her sentiments of how excited she was to marry her love. How sweet! They wed on the roof top of the Oviatt Penthouse in downtown Los Angeles, and then partied the night away with friends and family. Congrats to the newly weds!!
Robbie and Katelynn got to say “I do” overlooking the beautiful rollings hills of Julian, California while their friends watched. It was *perfect* summer day, and one of the longest days of the year! Leading up to the ceremony, before he even got to see his bride, Robbie was feeling alllll the emotions. He was so excited to see Katelynn in her wedding gown, and when it was finally the time for him to turn around and set his eyes on her, he definitely let out a few tears! Katelynn recalls how their whole romance began; “Robbie and I met at a bar in North Park called Park and Rec. He was down visiting a friend from Orange County and I was going out dancing with girlfriends. It wasn’t supposed to happen but it did. Our first date was a marathon date all over San Diego that lasted 9 hours and there has been no looking back since.” When it came time to propose, Robbie recreated that fine day by saying “get dressed we are going on an adventure.” He took Katelynn down memory lane by reenacting their first date play by play except this time it ended with a proposal and a surprise engagement party with their family at one of her favorite restaurants. How perfect! Check out their dreamy backyard wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues, Sacred Mountain Retreat in Julian!
These two can’t WAIT to celebrate their vows next summer in Napa! But before that all happens, I got to meet up with them in their home city of NYC. They met while in college through some mutual friends. They clicked right away and now live together in Manhattan with their pup! We were all excited to walk around the city for their engagement shoot, but the weather had other plans for us. As we stalked the radar, we found a three hour window to take our photos. We started near their neighborhood in West Soho, then headed over to Brooklyn for some gorgeous skyline views of the city. They are both the sweetest people, and have those stargazed eyes for each other, as they constantly held hands while walking around the busy streets. I can’t wait to meet up with them again for their big day! Congrats you two! And thanks for showing me around your city!
