Wedding Planning Tips: Sparkler Exits!

MaiJuliusBlog-284Everyone loves a good sparkler exit, but they must be planned properly! There are a few factors to think about when planning this special exit. HeatherJoshBlog-185

First, safety. Make sure your coordinator or venue person of contact sets out enough buckets of water nearby. I HAVE actually seen a table cloth get caught on fire!HeatherJoshBlog-182MelissaJohnBlog-232Second, venue house rules! A lot of venues do not even allow sparklers. Make sure yours is ok with this before buying any. There are other alternatives to sparklers if your venue does not allow them, such as glow sticks! Third, make sure you buy the correct sparklers! I *always* suggest the longer ones because of two reasons; not only do they take longer to burn, giving you more time for a photo op, but they are safer for your guests. They won’t burn children’s hands and they can be held higher above your heads as we walk underneath them!MelissaJohnBlog-227

“But what if you are scheduled to leave before our reception is finished!?” No worries, I have done a few weddings where we do a sparkler “photo op” instead of an actual exit. Then you and your guests can continue parting and I can finish at my scheduled time!

Nytasha and Joe’s Coachella themed Wedding at Moniker Warehouse

NytashaJoeWeddingBlog-47

Nytasha and Joe know how to customize a wedding. This wedding was so uniquely them, and their honest love for each other was just the icing on the cake. Their vision for their wedding day was “Gatsby goes to Coachella”, and I think they nailed it! It was complete with glow sticks, graffiti walls, purple accents, and everything Star Wars. While Nytasha was getting ready for the big day, she was calm and relaxed, and really excited! She always has a smile on her face, and it definitely matched Joe’s smile as he saw her for the first time as she walked down the aisle. He was able to hold it together right until the ceremony started, then we all watched him dry a tear or two! They wrote their own vows and both agreed to be there for the other 100%, while complimenting each other on being the best person they have ever known. It’s funny how two people can be completely unique in their own ways, yet compliment another person so well. After they said “I do”, they went back in time to an old tradition of jumping over a broomstick into their new lives together, and the party started! The lights dimmed and the glowsticks came out. Coachella came to San Diego! Congrats to such a fun and loving couple!NytashaJoeWeddingBlog-18NytashaJoeWeddingBlog-19NytashaJoeWeddingBlog-23

Marina and Pascal’s Kona Kai Resort Wedding

MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-133

Marina and Pascal had quite the celebration! They tied the knot if front of their friends and family at the Kona Kai Resort in San Diego. The story of how they met was repeated over and over again during their wedding, because it is just that good. In fact, it deserves repeating again! It all began a few years ago when Marina was in NYC visiting family for Thanksgiving. They decided to go out at night, which is when fate stepped in, as they were at the same hot spot that Pascal and his friends were at. Pascal noticed Marina from across the room, and knew he had to approach her. To his surprise….he got shot down!! Totally gutted, he decided to try again later in the night. This time, Marina noticed his persistence and caved a little. She told him that they were leaving to head to another spot in town, and Pascal opened her cab door for her as she drove away. Then!….Pascal got in a cab right behind her and managed to get to the next destination first!! They ended up chatting the night away with undeniable chemistry. He discovered that Marina lived in Los Angeles, and ironically enough (call it fate!), he was going to be there the following week on business. Sure enough, he sought out Marina and took her on another date. That was the first of many trips to visit Marina on the west coast, and he eventually moved there to be with her. Pascal is a man who knows what he wants!! Now they are happily married with their cute pup, Frida. Congrats to Marina and Pascal, for a true love fairytale and an extremely fun wedding!MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-13MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-17MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-15MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-22MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-24MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-25MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-19MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-26MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-27MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-28MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-29MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-30MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-31MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-32MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-35MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-34MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-33MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-37MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-38MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-2MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-1MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-4MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-5MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-8MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-9MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-41MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-42MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-43MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-45MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-48MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-49MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-51MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-52MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-54MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-53MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-57MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-58MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-59MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-60MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-61MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-62MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-63MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-64MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-65MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-69MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-70MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-71MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-76MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-77MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-81MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-74MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-72MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-83MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-86MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-87MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-88MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-89MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-91MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-92MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-94MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-93MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-96MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-95MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-98MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-103MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-99MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-104MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-106MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-108MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-109MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-111MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-113MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-114MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-115MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-116MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-120MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-118MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-122MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-84MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-85MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-127MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-125MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-145MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-142MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-128MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-129MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-131MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-130MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-132MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-133MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-134MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-136MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-137MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-149MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-150MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-151MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-152MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-153MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-154MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-155MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-156MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-158MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-161MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-163MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-162MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-165MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-166MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-168MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-170MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-172MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-160MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-173MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-174MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-175MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-178MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-176MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-177MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-179MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-180MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-182MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-183MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-184MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-185MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-186MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-187MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-190MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-188MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-189MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-191MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-193MarinaPascalWeddingBlog-192
