These two darlings have been modeling for me for the last 4 years and they just keep getting cuter!! Hard to believe I know. I love watching them grow! Jenna is a scholar and great athlete, as well as a great actress and singer! Piper speaks PERFECT Japanese and has such a personality! They la-la-looove each other so much. We spent the afternoon together at Marian Bear Park frolicking through the woods. The girls have their modeling poses down to a T, I could photograph them for days. When they are famous models one day I hope they remember our shoots together!
Amy and Wes met through mutual friends at Moonlight Beach. Amy’s friend insisted that she come hang out after she was done with work to “meet her friends from Boston”. Wes was one of those Boston boys. He was originally from California, but had been going to school at Berklee Music School, and came back for a visit. They had an instant connection and ending up talking and hanging out at a casino that night until 2am! Fast forward a few years, Wes knew it was time to propose. He had it all perfectly planned in his head, but not everything went as planned! Amy describes that night: “Wes organized a rental cabin in Big Bear and invited all our best friends, unbeknownst to me. He proposed by the lake, in the dark after a million things had gone wrong that day (tons of traffic, it was a dark secluded area, several people almost ruining the surprise, me broken out in an allergic reaction of hives and SUPER grumpy about all the secrets, I was in sweatpants, etc. etc.). After all of that, he drove us to the house we were staying at for the weekend and all our friends slowly started trickling in to celebrate all night. It was great!”
Amy and Wes held quite the party for their wedding. It was a very DIY event on top of it all! They wed at a family friends private estate on the cliffs of Del Mar. Their coordinator took over the job of florist when she heard Amy and her friends originally planned on doing it themselves the night before the wedding. Melissa (their coordinator) told her not to worry and she would take care of it all. The flowers were GORGEOUS! Amy’s mom also helped with some of the catering, so did a lot of the appetizers and their cake! Even having friends as their MC/officiant, the whole day seemed like a family affair. But if you were to ask everyone what the highlight of the wedding was, they would probably say the band! A majority of Wes’s friends are musicians, GREAT musicians. The band played hits all across the board, and the guests were dancing the night away, singing along. It was a fun filled day. Congrats to Amy and Wes!

Justine and Adrien are the cutest! They seriously can’t stop giggling in each other’s presence. They wanted their engagement session to have best of both worlds- one location a bit more urban, and the other with natural landscapes. We decided to roam around Little Italy while starting at the fun and trendy Underbelly restaurant! After grabbing a beer there, we found cute backdrops all around this neighborhood of San Diego. We then rushed down to Coronado for a “sunset” walk on the beach. Unfortunately, San Diego has been having RAIN this past week! (Which I guess isn’t too unfortunate, since we are in desperate need of rain!) It didn’t rain on our day together, but the clouds were definitely representing San Diego’s “May Gray”. The gray skies actually gave a nice little touch to our shoot. While we weren’t lucky with a lot of parts of the day, including horrible traffic and gray skies, we still had a LOT of fun (even sprinting to some rocks before it got too dark!) and I can’t wait for their wedding next spring!
