Want to see the worst vacation photos I have ever taken!? Just kidding, the photos themselves are not bad. The fact that I barely took any makes me upset though! The hardest part about being a photographer, I would say, are vacations. I want to enjoy myself, and not have to worry about taking photos, yet all I want to do is come back with a million gorgeous shots of the beautiful scenery! Quite the catch-22. While I was busy skiing all day, I did not have my camera on me. (And good thing- since I hadn’t skied in over 12 overs! My camera might not have survived). Luckily, and not to toot my horn too loudly or anything, skiing is like riding a bike. I did pretty well on the slopes! But I still didn’t get enough photos of just how gorgeous the weather was all weekend. I love ski towns, even though I despise winter. Here are just a *few* shots I could catch on the drive up, and looking out our balcony at the sunrise before a whole day of skiing and relaxation!
Some couples just have that “thing”, you know? That indescribable vibe between two souls that radiates through a smile or a laugh. Nina and Dan were so natural with each other during out shoot. They have been together for 4 years now, and are getting married at the end of this summer. They moved down to Southern California a few months ago for a sunny change and they absolutely love it. All of their friends and family will be traveling from across the country to San Diego for their wedding, so they want to make sure it is a fun vacation/destination wedding for everyone! Dan loves to surf, so we all agreed that La Jolla would be a perfect backdrop to their love story. What we weren’t expecting, were the special guests on the beach with us! There were baby seals everywhere! They didn’t mind modeling with us for a few shots. Can’t wait for their wedding! Congrats to you both!

Molly, along with a few million other little girls in the world, LOVES Pixar’s Frozen. She recently turned two, so she threw the BEST party ever! Complete with all things Frozen- a Frozen jumpy house, Frozen coloring books, “icing” topped treats, and a few Elsa costumes. Just when you think the party is good as it is….the kiddies had an extra special surprise awaiting for them; ELSA herself dropped by! Molly lit up immediately once she saw real-life Elsa walking around her party. “Elsaaaa!!!” she kept saying! Elsa was great. She painted all the party-goers’ faces, and even their nails. She then did a few magic tricks for us, and then gave the kids another surprise of bringing her own magic snow. Everywhere Elsa walked, there were at least 3 girls behind her willing to carry her dress for her. (She is a queen after all!)
Man, I wish I was a kid again! Just to be invited to more parties like this one.
