Gone Camping! Maria and Tony’s Engagement Session

Things I love: Themed engagement sessions. Clients willing to drive out of the city for an hour to find the most magical locations. Wildlife!

Things I don’t love: Really cold weather!

Luckily, Maria and Tony braved through the cold with me to get these AMAZING shots! When discussing their engagement session, both Maria and Tony said they love the outdoors and camping, and would love to do a camping theme e-shoot. I love when I get to do something different! We found the most beautiful spot in the Rancho Cuyamaca State Park and set a date. A few days before our scheduled shoot date, I heard on the news of a terrible cold front coming in, and the next day Julian had 2 feet of snow! We rescheduled the shoot and really lucked out. Yes it was FREEZING, (kudos to you Maria for braving the cold!), but we had a  great time in the wilderness. I even saw some deer and wild turkey. Can’t wait for the wedding coming up!

Ticha and Rick’s Wilson Creek Winery Wedding in Temecula

Listening to Ticha’s sister and maid of honor give her speech at Rick and Ticha’s wedding reception at the Gourmet Italia made everyone tear up. One thing mentioned that really stood out to me was when she explained she always knew Ticha and Rick would end up together, and so did everyone else, probably before Ticha and Rick even knew themselves. They grew up together but didn’t start dating until years later.  Ticha loves to snowboard and is bright, charismatic, and bubbly. Rick is funny and an outstanding father to his two sons. Their wedding was a low-key winter wedding at the beautiful Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, CA. Ironically enough, they actually had their honeymoon planned BEFORE their wedding! They had a nice little vacation planned for a snowboarding trip in Lake Tahoe. They then realized, Hey!, we should get married the week before, and our snowboarding trip can be our romantic honeymoon!

All of Ticha and Rick’s friends and family are their greatest supporters. Everyone was happy to spend time together and walk the beautiful grounds of Wilson Creek Winery while enjoying their delicious wine! It might have been January, but the sun was out and it was a hot 80 degree day! All in all, it was a perfect wedding day for these two. Congrats!!

Irene - What beautiful pictures to capture such a special day! I’m so happy for both of you and even happier i was able to be a part of all of it! To many wonderful years ahead for you two! I love you both very much!

Darci is expecting twins!

Beautiful Darci is expecting her first TWO babies this upcoming March! The best part- it is a boy AND a girl! That’s the way to do it, right? The funniest part is that her sister just recently also had twins as well. There will be a lot of craziness in their household for the holidays from now on, that is for sure! This maternity shoot was taken place at the Family Christmas Tree Farm in El Cajon. What a perfect present for the Holidays….

 

Congrats, Darci! You have that gorgeous pregnancy glow!
